TOCAYO was born in Lalo Guerrero’s former East LA studio when composer and producer Jonathan Shanes united with local visual
artist and vocalist Martin Doherty.
Propelled by a mutual love of reggae music and political activism, the pair set out to create an album that illuminated the realities of life in East L.A. and promoted positive change.
